“GBOX STUDIOS aim is to create a full service offering clients the highest quality of work with a comprehensive understanding of modern production, their services include advertising, products, automotive, portraits, beauty, editorial photography and video production. Gbox is based in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the most beautiful city in Vietnam.

“We have developed and created an innovative strategy for Gbox brand identity, where the passion creativity and inspiring are platform for their activities.

“Gbox brand mark was inspired by the brand name and the lens – a visual representation of their world, we aim to create powerful simplicity, all components are coherence based on a box.

“In addition, we created visual graphic elements, icons representing the character and different core values on grids arranged with the alphabetic characters in the brand name, the arrangement is interchangeable for different layout types.

“The stationery of Gbox was focused on the design elements and craft production, the products are used as a gift for their clients such as DVD packaging, post cards, business cards. we use some type of paper folding origami based on hexagons of brand mark, we also used hand embossing so that customers can proactively create a number of publications for their own needs.”

“In the creation of new cosmetic brand AMAIA, we were presented with an exciting challenge. Carve a unique and authentic position in the saturated and over crowded competitive Australian market of beauty brands.

“Founded on principles of natural elegance, simplicity and balance, we drew inspiration from the Australian landscape and its majestic colours, tones, and textures. Each cosmetic palette is defined by colour and purpose, influenced by great stretches of ocean, radiating deserts and deep sunsets.

“This all encompassing project drew on all disciplines: naming, strategy, branding, art direction, copywriting and packaging.”

“Arnsdorf is a womenswear collection by Jade Sarita Arnott. For Spring/Summer 2011, we collaborated with Jade on the design of a crystal-patterned textile that was incorporated into several pieces in the collection. In line with the season’s theme of “reflection, refractions, inflections and colours of light,” we created a geometric pop-up invitation and a poster-sized lookbook that folded into a diamond shape. For the website, we designed a minimal interface with intuitive navigation so users could shop the collection with efficiency and ease.”

“Logo and business cards for Iowa based photographer, Eric Yerke.

“Eric approached me to design him a simple, and elegant identity system that would reflect the type of photography that he makes. Eric wanted something enduring and iconic so we drew from his love for Swiss design and created a mark that was intentionally simple. Eric’s work is very natural, simple, and compositionally exceptional and the identity aims to reflect that.

“The business card is blind letterpressed with a die cut “window” allowing the contact information to show through as if to appear like a mat on a framed photograph.”

“Established in 2009, the Institute for Non Profit News (INN) is a non-profit organization aimed at providing education and business support services to promote the value and benefit of public-service and investigative journalism.

“The organizations belonging to the network are diverse. Some cover specific industries and sectors. Others cover communities. All of them are nonprofits and use investigative and public-interest reporting to advance their mission.

“In 2015, INN underwent a name change (formerly the Investigative News Network) as well as an entire re-think of their mission, strategy, and direction.

“I was approached to help lead an identity refresh, as well as, develop a full collateral set and supporting material. In working with the team at INN, we landed on an idea of diversity and flexibility. We created a modular system of marks along with a large palette of colors. Together, these elements represent the mission, values, and diverse make up of organization’s members.

“The system of marks was built from a 3×3 grid, with each block re-orienting itself to create a set of different marks within a single identity. This fluidity makes for an identity that is just as diverse as the members themselves.

“Business cards were blind letterpressed on Colorplan paper by G.F. Smith, and printing was handled by Studio On Fire.”
