6HATS Agentur Ekstraordinær is a newly formed international creative agency based in Copenhagen,whose scope is to find solutions either directly or via connecting specialists to any creative demand. 6HATS requested we design their brand identity including a logo that could serve them as visual tool for various applications.
Our solution was inspired by the famous book “Six Thinking Hats” by Edward de Bono on parallel thinking and problem solving, according to which there are six systems of understanding and dealing with any creative challenge. Our logo furthers the concept of the six hats, aptly suggested in the name, by suggesting a single, universal, super-hat-solution, in the shape of a classic black bowler hat, suggesting that the studio has the means to produce ultimate creative solutions.
The “6HATS hat” logo works fine along its typography but it also becomes the driving center piece of an endless series of visual compositions used for a variety of communication applications. Within those compositions the hat remains unchanged as a nod to the studio’s integrity and solidness, but its function changes in a unique way suggesting their versatility and understanding of the unique needs of each creative challenge.
