“Christ’s College is one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded private boys’ schools. The schools strengths are its heritage, quality and status and in discussions with the Headmaster, it became clear that the school could do more to communicate its accessibility and engagement with the wider community. Stakeholder research supported that College could increase its relevance and connectedness to the outside world. We developed the universal truth “each boy at his best” to guide the direction of the new brand. New imagery was commissioned that would focus on boys as individuals rather than in groups and tell the stories of their individual success. By refreshing the school’s crest, simplifying and refining it to a single colour, we made it easy to use across all applications. We selected a modified typography style to gently update and modernise the brand.”
