“Obra Blanca is an architecture studio founded in 2013 in Veracruz that seeks to generate projects capable of transcending Mexico’s architectural landscape. Its founders perceive Obra Blanca as the manifestation of professional independence, as the result and materialization of their risks and efforts, of resisting trends that would bend their design ethos, of working together exhaustively, freely and independently.
“In a construction project, Obra Blanca represents its last step: when the project is ready to gain its very own personality, when the building stops being just a building and transforms into the extension and reflection of its future inhabitants. Savvy’s identity design is propped on this concept and divided into two parts: Structure and Content. Structure represents the canvas, the blank space outlined by intervened areas and the tools used to generate it, such as stamping and embossing. Content represents the personal and unique interventions that are marked inside the structure by those in direct contact with the brand.
“The identity is complemented by a brutalist logotype that acts as a reinforcement of their functional essence and architectural character. The goal is to reflect Obra Blanca’s hopes of new beginnings, of the birth of new spaces, containers of life, ideas and experiences, that have taken a long enough time to materialize.”
