“S’il Vous Plait” means ‘please’ in French. When the French want to use it, they write SVP for short. My idea for the logo design of S’il Vous Plait came from these initials and I combined each letter with an element found in the actual bar-restaurant. The letter S is combined with smoke coming from a cup of a hot drink, i.e coffee or chocolate, V with a martini cocktail glass where the image of the drop underneath symbolizes the liquid element and P with the hand of a coffee cup. In this way, by putting together the three letters harmoniously, I created the logo of S’il Vous Plait. The typography that i use is a type of improved “future” font and they are plain and dominant capital letters which match the atmosphere of the place.
In the brand identity the main colors used are all time classics black and white in every application from the sign to the place mats. The menu was also created in a black and white 25X35 format and is made of writing paper fastened with a pin. It is made to resemble in a newspaper style, rendering it more familiar and readable to the customers, with a view to optimizing consumption.
