“The aim of this project is simple. Reach out to potential employers and direct traffic to my work, specifically my online portfolio. I approached this project reflectively and chose to build my design around the historically proven tradesman bicycles, commonly used by bakers and butchers at the turn of the century.
By customising a bicycle frame and applying my design to a fitted panel, i would be able to simply cycle the bike to a densely populated area, chain it to a lamp post for a few hours and have hundreds of people see my contact details and website url. It is extremely important however that the design on the bike catches the eye so as to prevent it being ignored.
Spoke cards will accompany the frame panel and provide something tangible for passers by to touch, feel and take home with them.”
