“Half Full is an idiom that expresses eternal optimism – a constant state of positive thought. This is the attitude with which the business is run. Half Full is a restaurant where you can relax and be yourself, where you can eat as if you were sitting at the family kitchen table.
For the identity and interior we wanted to nod towards the traditional origin of tapas whilst avoiding the clichés often associated with it (there isn’t a bull in sight). By adding a ‘ú’ to the logo we identify the cultural source of the food as well as telling the story of its origin – slices of bread placed on top of a glass to keep the flies out of the drink. To enrich the identity, we art directed a series of images that tells the story of a Half Full meal from start to finish – mess and all. A pallet of materials were selected for the interior to give the restaurant a feeling of a kitchen as opposed to a dining room.”
