“Perpetual Dynamics is a Logistics and Freight Forwarding company based in Melbourne, and founded for the pursuit of continuous improvement across global supply chains. Studio Constantine worked with Perpetual Dynamics to develop a visual identity, stationery and responsive website for their launch into the market.
“The marque is grounded in the concept of perpetual motion, and specifically sketches by Leonardo DaVinci for the design of a perpetual motion machine. Although generally considered impossible to create, we felt that the forms themselves created a sense of motion and progression, so used the schematic as the basis of the marque. The typeface used throughout the identity suite is Cern – a contemporary grotesque family – chosen for it’s formal character and robust performance in both display and text sizes. As the marque has an elemental simplicity, so too we wanted the text to evoke the same qualities.
“The website is built on a responsive, modular CSS grid, and degrades gracefully across resolutions and platforms. Process diagrams are presented as illustration, but the use of vector format allows crisp rendering on retina devices. The stationery is printed in two colour, with a blind emboss on the front of the cards.
“The result is a concise and authoritative identity, ready to play in the multi-national space from day one. Communicative of the pedigree and experience of it’s founder, but also sensitive to the budgetary constraints of any start-up.”
